Tax his bed,
Tax the table At which he's fed.

Tax his tractor,
Tax his mule,
Teach him taxes Are the rule.

Tax his pants,
Tax his coat.

Tax his ties,
Tax his shirt,
Tax his work,
Tax his dirt.

Tax his tobacco,
Tax his drink,
Tax him if he Tries to think.

Tax his cigars,
Tax his beers,
If he cries, thenTax his tears.

Tax his car,
Tax his gas,
Find other ways To tax his ass

Tax all he has Then let him know
That you won't be done Till he has no dough.

When he screams and hollers,
Then tax him some more,
Tax him till He's good and sore.

Then tax his coffin ,
Tax his grave,
Tax the sod in Which he's laid.

Put these words upon his tomb,
" Taxes drove me to my doom..."
When he's gone, Do not relax,
Its time to apply

And.... I still have to "press 1"for English.

Senator Bill Nelson (D) FL on Global Warming

Below is the reply I got from Sen. Nelson's office after I wrote with my concerns that the global warming nuts were out of control. Wonder if he even read my letter? The letter that follows is the reply I sent to this:
Thank you for writing me with your concerns about global warming. The United States needs an energy policy that alleviates high energy prices and reduces our dependency on foreign oil without inflicting irreversible harm on our environment. Global warming threatens Florida's fragile ecosystem and $54 billion tourism industry. Rising sea levels will encroach on Florida's pristine beaches and harm coastal wetlands and the Everglades. Also, increased water temperatures will damage sensitive coral reefs and endanger Florida's diverse marine species. A recent scientific study by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change concluded with 90 percent certainty that global warming is caused by the accumulation of man-made greenhouse gasses. To reduce our use of greenhouse gasses, we must use more renewable energy in power production and transportation. I am a cosponsor of three important bills that will help reduce the effects of global warming and promote innovation in alternative energy production. The Climate Stewardship and Innovation Act (CSIA) is a bipartisan bill that would cap the greenhouse gas emissions of the electric power, industrial, transportation, and commercial sectors of the economy at year 2004 levels by 2012. By then gradually lowering this cap and creating financial incentives to develop clean-burning energy, we will lower emissions and forestall catastrophic global warming. The Dependence Reduction through Innovation in Vehicles and Energy (DRIVE) Act would dramatically reduce our use of fossil fuels by increasing the availability of alternative transportation fuels, providing incentives for the purchase of hybrid and flexible fuel vehicles, and spurring development for next-generation fuels and hybrid cars. Lastly, the Ten-in-Ten Fuel Economy Act would increase fuel economy standards by ten miles per gallon in ten years. While these bills are an important first step, I will continue to work in the Senate to fight the effects of global warming. I appreciate the time you've taken to be involved and informed about this matter. Please do not hesitate to contact me in the future.

Dear Senator Nelson,
From your response to my last inquiry I see that you are a drinker of the Global Warming Alarmist kool-aid. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change is nothing more than a self serving group that exists to promote the existence of man-made global warming. I could have told you what their conclusion was going to be long before they published anything. This group is the very definition of biased and un-objective. Anyone who bothers to check the facts with objectivity will see that there is no justification for a claim that they are 90% certain that global warming is due to man made greenhouse gases. Man as a whole simply does not contribute enough of a percentage of these gases into the atmosphere to justify this statement. There are a growing number in the scientific community that believe the rise in CO2 in the atmosphere is more the result of, rather than the cause of, warming trends. Further the Earth has been both warmer and cooler in the past when mans production of these greenhouse gasses was insignificant. In the middle ages temps were warm enough that grapes were grown in England yet the activists in the global warming sector work to hide the fact that this period ever occurred. Additionally astronomers tell us that our sun is in a heightened state of activity and that the temps on Mars are rising at a similar rate to Earth, which would seem to indicate that the climate is far more affected by the sun than by any activity of Man. This "science" is anything but settled and much of the evidence that refutes the doomsayers is being repressed. I had hoped that you would be more thoughtful than to accept as gospel the findings of a group pre-disposed and highly motivated to find that global warming is a manmade phenomenon despite the overwhelming evidence to the contrary. All of this, aside the models that these people use are skewed beyond any reasonable measure to achieve the ends they desire. They assume levels of man-made CO2 that are far beyond any reasonable estimate or measurement of what is actually produced.Simply put Climate change has been occurring for far longer than we have been able to follow it on a global scale and even today the samples of temps taken are not an accurate reflection of a true global average (most temps are taken in urban areas). It should give you pause to remember that many of the same people preaching the religion of global warming today were crying out about the coming of the next ice age 20 years ago. These people have no credibility. If you are truly an enlightened individual read the many reports from the many and very credible scientists that refute the findings of groups like the IPCC.We should all take reasonable measures to keep our environment clean but this alarmism is counter productive and driven as much by a desire to harm our economy as by any concern for the environment.

Jay Leno?

My sister-in-law sent this to me. It's worth the read but I'm not sure it was Leno. Doesn't sound quite like him.

JAY LENO..."HITS THE NAIL ON THE HEAD"

The other day I was reading Newsweek magazine and came across some poll data I found rather hard to believe. It must be true given the source, right?
The Newsweek poll alleges that 67 percent of Americans are unhappy with the direction the country is headed and 69 percent of the country is unhappy with the performance of the president. In essence 2/3s of the citizenry just ain't happy and want a change. I being the knuckle dragger I am, I started thinking, ''What we are so unhappy about?''
Is it that we have electricity and running water 24 hours a day, 7 days a week? Is our unhappiness the result of having air conditioning in the summer and heating in the winter? Could it be that 95.4 percent of these unhappy folks have a job? Maybe it is the ability to walk into a grocery store at any time and see more food in moments than Darfur has seen in the last year?
Maybe it is the ability to drive from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean without having to present identification papers as we move through each state? Or possibly the hundreds of clean and safe motels we would find along the way that can provide temporary shelter? I guess having thousands of restaurants with varying cuisine from around the world is just not good enough.
Or could it be that when we wreck our car, emergency workers show up and provide services to help all and even send a helicopter to take you to the hospital.
Perhaps you are one of the 70 percent of Americans who own a home. You may be upset with knowing that in the unfortunate case of a fire, a group of trained firefighters will appear in moments and use top notch equipment to extinguish the flames thus saving you, your family and your belongings. Or if, while at home watching one of your many flat screen TVs, a burglar or prowler intrudes, an officer equipped with a gun and a bullet-proof vest will come to defend you and your family against attack or loss.
This all in the backdrop of a neighborhood free of bombs or militias raping and pillaging the residents. Neighborhoods where 90 percent of teenagers own cell phones and computers.
How about the complete religious, social and political freedoms we enjoy that are the envy of everyone in the world? Maybe that is what has 67 percent of you folks unhappy.
Fact is, we are the largest group of ungrateful, spoiled brats the world has ever seen. No wonder the world loves the U.S., yet has a great disdain for its citizens. They see us for what we are. The most blessed people in the world who do nothing but complain about what we don't have, and what we hate about the country instead of thanking the good Lord we live here.
I know, I know. What about the president who took us into war and has no plan to get us out? The president who has a measly 31 percent approval rating?
Is this the same president who guided the nation in the dark days after 9/11?
The president that cut taxes to bring an economy out of recession?
Could this be the same guy who has been called every name in the book for succeeding in keeping all the spoiled ungrateful brats safe from terrorist attacks?
The commander in chief of an all-volunteer army that is out there defending you and me? Did you hear how bad the President is on the news or talk show? Did this news affect you so much, make you so unhappy you couldn't take a look around for yourself and see all the good things and be glad?
Think about it......are you upset at the President because he actually caused you personal pain OR is it because the "Media" told you he was failing to kiss your sorry ungrateful behind every day. Make no mistake about it. The troops in Iraq and Afghanistan have volunteered to serve, and in many cases may have died for your freedom. There is currently no draft in this country. They didn't have to go. They are able to refuse to go and end up with either a ''general'' discharge, an ''other than honorable'' discharge or, worst case scenario, a ''dishonorable'' discharge after a few days in the brig.
So why then the flat-out discontentment in the minds of 69 percent of Americans?
Say what you want but I blame it on the media. If it bleeds it leads and they specialize in bad news. Everybody will watch a car crash with blood and guts. How many will watch kids selling lemonade at the corner? The media knows this and media outlets are for-profit corporations. They offer what sells, and when criticized, try to defend their actions by "justifying" them in one way or another. Just ask why they tried to allow a murderer like O.J. Simpson to write a book about how he didn't
kill his wife, but if he did he would have done it this way......Insane!
Stop buying the negativism you are fed everyday by the media. Shut off the TV, burn Newsweek, and use the New York Times for the bottom of your bird cage.
Then start being grateful for all we have as a country. There is exponentially more good than bad.
We are among the most blessed people on Earth and should thank God several times a day, or at least be thankful and appreciative. "With hurricanes, tornados, fires out of control, mud slides, flooding, severe thunderstorms tearing up the country from one end to another, and with the threat of bird flu and terrorist attacks, "Are we sure this is a good time to take God out of the Pledge of Allegiance?"

Why we must vote

In reading the posts on the left wing blogs and MSM sites I am struck by the utter contempt and hate that spews from them. While you do see some of that here and on other blogs like HA it is not nearly as prevalent or as mean. As Michelle so rightly points out in her latest book the left has become completely unhinged. They are dragging out all of the old long since debunked lies about President Bush, and republicans in general, avoiding for the most part any substantive statements on the Kerry quotes all the while accusing republicans of trying to change the subject. I truly fear what could become of our great country if these people actually regain the power they desire. Endless, pointless and wasteful investigation into allegations that have already been disproved. Weakness shown on a front where none can be tolerated. A ruined economy and a weakened military when our country will least be able to afford either. As poor a job as you might think the republicans have done the democrats would be far worse. No direction, no plan, and only surrender. Truly a nightmare of unprecedented proportion. This is why we must vote. This is why we can not trust the democrats with real power again. They are no longer morally fit to govern.

CNN - The Treason Network

CNN has committed treason against our government in a time of war. They have aided and abetted our enemies by showing their propaganda. Those responsible for this crime should be arrested and prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Any licensing CNN has from the government should be forfeited and they should no longer be allowed to broadcast in this country. They have shown their true colors. They apparently believe the Muslim Terrorists should win the war they started with America. It's too bad nothing will happen to them. No one in our government has any balls to do anything against our Main Stream Media. The MSM has been on the terrorists side since this all began. Our nations Democratic Party has become a mouthpiece for the terrorists also. They continually worry about the treatment of those that have sworn to kill us all. They don't believe the Muslim Fascists are a threat. They think they can be negotiated with. How do you negotiate with those that want to kill you? Do you promise to die quietly? Muslim Fascists can' t be negotiated with. They must be eliminated. We must re-double our efforts to remove the threat from all over the world. Those that believe what the Muslim Terrorists say are fools. Their religion allows them to lie to those of us who don't believe as they do.

The upcoming elections are critical for our countries future. We must not let the Democrat appeasers win control of our government. If they win, our countries future is at extreme risk from the Muslim fascists. We face an incredible threat as it is now, but let the cowardice of the Democratic Party control our future and we are doomed to a defeat by the Terrorists. I am not happy with the current administration and how things are going within our country. They have not done the job they needed to do at home, but they have kept us safer from Muslim Terrorists and will continue to do so if allowed. That is why I will hold my nose and vote. Both parties stink, but the Democrats have a stronger yellow smell.

Fascist Islam On Display

Just a quick post to say that the Muslims that are violently protesting because the Pope offended them need to examine their methods and see that he was right. Firebombing churches because you don't like what their leader says is exactly what he was talking about. Muslims are responsible for the majority if not all of the conflicts in the world today. They are trying to take over and violence is their method. It is time for another crusade, but this time they need to be eliminated so they don't pollute the earth with a religion that preaches violence and deceit towards those that don't believe as they do. I'm tired of their shit. It's time for a rousing game of Cowboys and Muslims.

Moonbats on Parade

The following is a letter to the editor in the Daytona Beach News Journal 9/14/06:
Buzzword boomerangs on Bush
This administration is very adept at throwing out buzzwords. The latest one is "fascist," for those who disagree with and speak out against administration policies. This administration has learned well that all it has to do is point the finger and call someone else a name or use a scary buzzword -- even if that word best describes the administration -- and the American public will blindly believe. The Random House Unabridged Dictionary defines "fascism" as "a governmental system led by a dictator having complete power, forcibly suppressing opposition and criticism -- and emphasizing an aggressive nationalism and often racism.
"Does that not come close to describing our present administration? Pretty close, huh?
DANIEL E. AMEDICK, Ormond Beach
I sent a reply but it's unlikely that the paper will publish it as they very rarely print anything from the conservative viewpoint, so here it is:
I think Mr. Amedick needs to loosen the tinfoil hat a little. The only group the president has ever called “fascist” is the one that we are fighting in the war on terror, and they most definitely meet the published definition of the word. His assertion that President Bush uses the term to describe the people in this country that disagree with him or speak out against him is simply a lie. Give me one example where that has happened. It is the people on the far left that are constantly accusing President Bush of being a fascist, a Nazi, or worse, not the other way around. His ascertains that the present administration is even close to being fascist is rebuked by the fact that he is free to write his letters and opinions without fear of any official reprisals. If Mr. Amedick will pull his head out of the sand and join the rest of us here in this place I like to call “Reality” he will see that the current administration is one that was freely elected and that nobody has been persecuted or forcibly suppressed in their dissent and President Bush has nothing even close to “Dictatorial Powers”. His accusations of racism are also completely unfounded. President Bush has more minority appointees in his administration then any previous president including President Clinton. But I guess they don’t count since they’re conservatives.
